Scott Rome has an impressive career spanning over 30 years in sales and marketing across various industries, including media, software, and real estate. Scott's journey began at Paramount Pictures, where he served as a Sales Manager in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York. During his time there, he played a crucial role in marketing Paramount's syndicated library of television shows to local affiliates. Working with a team, Scott successfully promoted a vast array of popular programs, including Entertainment Tonight, Judge Judy, Frasier, Cheers, Taxi, and the Star Trek franchise. Additionally, he represented Paramount's extensive collection of motion pictures, such as Top Gun, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and Forrest Gump.
Following his tenure at Paramount, Scott joined the newly formed Interactive group at the NBC Television Network in New York. As one of the pioneering sales executives in this division, he contributed to the monetization of NBC's Internet properties. Scott was instrumental in creating and selling some of the first national cross-platform advertising campaigns, collaborating with notable shows like Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and the Today Show. He also played a key role in developing the concept of internet product placements in online advertising across the NBC platform.
With technology and the internet rapidly transforming the business landscape, Scott was recruited to develop sales and marketing strategies for software start-ups based in Silicon Valley and New York. Leading high-performing teams, he drove revenue growth for emerging companies in the fields of social media, online video, and digital marketing, contributing to three acquisitions valued at over $100 million each.
Seeking to apply his extensive sales and marketing experience on a more local scale, Scott made a transition into the real estate industry. In 2017, he founded Brick & Barn Real Estate Group, leveraging his expertise in branding, marketing, and sales strategy to thrive in a digitally-driven market. Over the course of six years, Scott and his team completed over 1,000 transactions and achieved more than $800 million in property sales across four states.
In January 2022, Scott affiliated Brick & Barn Real Estate Group with Compass Real Estate, assuming the role of Managing Director at Brick & Barn | Compass and becoming the Founding Broker of New Hampshire for Compass. During the same year, he co-founded Brick & Barn | New Development, a venture aimed at supporting builders and developers from the inception to the final sellout of their projects. Scott and his team have successfully secured over $600 million worth of new construction projects in both New England and Florida. Additionally, he serves as the Co-Founder of Ledge Development, a company specializing in building small to medium-sized residential communities along the Seacoast of Maine and New Hampshire.
Scott resides in Rye, New Hampshire and enjoys living by the ocean and appreciating the quality of life that the seacoast of NH provides.
